Personal Data, Purpose of Data Processing, and Legal Basis

Personal data is information that can be clearly assigned to a person.
This includes, among other things, information such as full name, address, and email address.

Specifically, the following data is collected when using CourtControl:

  • Account name (chosen by you)
  • Email address (provided during registration)
  • Account settings (your personal preferences)
  • Profile picture (optionally uploaded)
  • Poll data (for scheduling)
  • Match results (for calculating skill ratings/Elo points)

  • Manage your user account
  • Personalize your app experience
  • Organize events and polls
  • Calculate skill ratings (Elo) based on match results
  • Generate matchup suggestions based on skill ratings
  • Inform you about important changes or updates
When you visit our website, additional data is automatically collected for technical reasons (IP address, start and end of the session, date and time of the request, accessed subpage on our website, type and version of the browser, operating system, referrer URL).
This technical information may, in individual cases, be personal data.
As a rule, we use this technical information only when it is (for technical reasons) necessary for the operation and protection of our website against attacks and misuse, as well as pseudonymized or anonymized for statistical purposes.

If you contact us via the inquiry form on the website or by email, the data you provide (first name, last name, address, telephone number, email) will be stored by us for six months for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. Storage Duration

You can delete your account at any time in your account settings. By deleting your account, your (above-mentioned) personal data will be deleted immediately. Only match results of games you participated in will remain for statistical reasons, but will be anonymized and will no longer be linked to your (then deleted) account.
